The Clay Field
A sensory, hands-on approach to deep healing. In Person only unless you have your own clay and box.
Service Description
Entering the Clay Field is a deeply sensory, body-based approach to healing that works through touch, movement, and felt experience. In this practice, you’ll work with your hands in a box of clay—often with eyes closed or softly focused—allowing your attention to shift away from thinking and into direct sensation. Rather than creating something specific, the focus is on following natural impulses in the body. As your hands move through the clay, a continuous loop of sensory feedback is created—between what you feel, how you respond, and what begins to emerge. This process engages the body’s innate intelligence and supports the completion of patterns or responses that may have been interrupted or held over time. It works with implicit memory systems—experiences that are often difficult to access through words alone. Clay Field work is a form of sensorimotor, trauma-informed art-based practice that emphasizes touch as a primary pathway for healing. Many people also experience this work as deeply energetic—where subtle shifts in sensation, presence, and expression begin to unfold. The tactile resistance of the clay creates immediate feedback in the nervous system, helping to build new pathways and restore a sense of agency and connection. Sessions are slow, guided, and deeply experiential. There is no right way to do this—only an invitation to explore, sense, and allow your body to lead. This work is done in Person only unless you have your own clay and box.
